We love spinning for folks who love music & dancing, and Amy & Austin were definitely that couple!  From our first conversation discussing their aesthetics, musical tastes, and love for concerts, I (Taiga) knew immediately that they wanted a laid back yet classy wedding on the beach with fun music and LOTS of dancing.

When the big day came, their guests took it to ANOTHER LEVEL at Congress Hall in Cape May, NJ.  During dinner, a musically themed table game quickly turned into full fledged table performances (with me playing backing tracks!) competing for the bride & groom’s approval!  And once the dancing started, folks danced the night away to everything from 50s rock & roll to Salt & Pepa to Avicii!

One of our weddings was featured on Wedding Nouveau  You might remember Alicia & Matt from their FAN MAIL from the past.  Their traditional Cambodian ceremonies & music incorporated with modern influences resulted in a multi-cultural celebration for the ages!

The groom Scott and I (Taiga) go way back to when we were both young whipper snappers throwing parties in Philadelphia during the early-mid 2000s.  So when he emailed telling me that he was engaged and asked whether I would DJ his wedding, I was IN!  But enough about our bromance.

We helped Scott & Julie celebrate their wedding at the classy and ALWAYS delicious Del Frisco’s in Center City Philadelphia.  Not only did we get some of the best wedding food in the business (can’t go wrong with a medium rare rib eye) we witnessed an awesome spontaneous breakdance battle including the groom himself (see below).  Overall, it was a fun and memorable night that we were honored to be a part of.  Enjoy these amazing pictures courtesy of one of our favorites (and a real nice guy to boot), Jeff Wojtaszek.

Congratulations Scott & Julie!

When I (Taiga) first met with Fei & Nick to talk about their wedding, two things were clear… 1) Fei LOVED Mary J. Blige and 2) I would have to play a LOT of Mary at their wedding.  That was music to my ears as I’ve been a fan of Mary J since the mid 90s and love R&B in general!

On that beautiful fall night just a year ago at the Bayard’s in Lower Manhattan, I helped Fei & Nick celebrate their big day with Mary’s soulful voice during dinner and that hip hop soul on the dance floor.  And it was quite fitting that we ended the night with the timeless R&B ballad Be Without You!
